Carli Lloyd doesn’t take anything for granted. While her career resume is one every aspiring professional soccer player can only dream of, she knows in this game, especially ahead of a major tournament, the focus isn’t on career success, but more on present performance and future potential.
Thankfully for the soon-to-be 39-year-old USWNT forward, like a fine wine, she’s only gotten better with age and believes her body of work on and off the field over the past year-plus will pay dividends as USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski announces his 18-player roster for the upcoming 2020 Olympics to be held in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8.
